Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure
The Lake Lure Olympiad's 10K Dam Run is an ideal race for athletes looking for medium level difficulty. This challenging 10K course begins at Ingles Supermarket on Route 9, heads east on Route 64 and onto Buffalo Shoals Road.
After crossing the iconic Lake Lure Dam, the route winds up and down along the scenic shore road to finish on the Beach at Rumbling Bald Resort before a crowd of cheering spectators.
At the Finish Line
Will be posted on the Set Up Events website by Wednesday of the following week.
FREE transportation from the portico of Lakeview Restaurant at Rumbling Bald Resort to Ingles Supermarket. The schedule of shuttle service by van or bus is at 5:35 PM, 5:40 PM and 6:15 PM. Please be aware that our vans can shuttle only a total of 27 people and the trip to Ingles can take anywhere from 25 to 30 minutes.
For those whose cars have been left at Ingles, vans will make one trip from Lakeview Restaurant to return to Ingles following the medal ceremony between 9:00-9:30 PM. The best alternative is to come with a friend or family member who can drop you off at Ingles before the race and take your car to the Resort where the race will finish on the beach.
